BEFORE UPGRADING PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

This version of EasyDVR firmware contains an updated File System which benefits the EasyDVR by adding stability to recorded data/files.  In order to take advantage of the new File System, all internal hard drives will need the Repair process run. This Repair process can take around 90 minutes per hard drive depending on the size of the drive and the amount of data currently saved.

	NOTE: It is not mandatory to use the new File System after upgrading the firmware, but highly recommended. 

	The EasyDVR will continue to record using the older File System.


Section 1: Before Upgrading:

1. Enter the Setup Menu and login as the Admin user.
2. Select "System".
3. Select "Shutdown".
4. Select "Power Off".
5. Select "Confirm".
6. When the EasyDVR is powered off, physically unplug the unit for a minimum of 10 seconds.
7. Plug the unit back in and let it power on.

	NOTE: These steps are necessary to ensure the settings are saved and data is retained before starting the process.


Section 2: Upgrade the Firmware:

1. Copy the folder named "upd_88ts" to the root of the USB (Flash) drive.
2. Insert the USB drive into the USB port of the EasyDVR.
3. Enter the Setup Menu and login as the Admin user.
4. Select "System".
5. Select "Upgrade".
6. Select "ENTER" next to SOFTWARE UPGRADE.
7. Select "Upgrade".
8. Verify the Upgrade Version shows "0080-0529-0702-807i".
9. Select "Yes" to start the Upgrade process.


Sections 3: Repair Hard Drives:

1. Enter the Setup Menu and login as the Admin user.
2. Select "System".
3. Select "Hard Drive Setup".
4. Select "Internal Disks".
5. Select the Action "Repair" for each Hard Drive.

	NOTE: This process can take around 90 minutes per hard drive. There will NOT be any message when the repair cycle completes. Your EasyDVR will resume normal recording. 
	
	Section 3 must be completed for each installed Hard Drive.
